Updated similarity score algorithm
Changes were made to Turnitin’s similarity score on 4 March 2021. They include: Better detection and exclusion accuracy of quotes Better prioritization of internet sources (for example prioritizing a match wikipedia.com instead randomblog.com) Better matching more content across our various databases There’s more information on Turnitin’s support site, including information on existing submissions.
Revision assignments have been deprecated
To simplify assignment creation, Turnitin have removed the ability to create a revision assignment. This functionality echoed what was already possible with a standard assignment, but with added unnecessary steps. Turnitin have prepared a guide on how you can use a standard assignment to retain similar functionality.
